Dougie, the director Dougie Irvine is the Director of this years Webplay, Jason and the Argonauts. I was lucky enough to interview him about his job, take a look below to see what I found out. Directing Glossary

Director
The boss. The Director is in charge of getting everything ready for performance, the Actors, the Set, the Costumes, everything!
Script
The Play in written form
Audition or Casting
Where the Director gets to see lots of actors and chooses the one most right for the part.
Characters
The people in the play.
Rehearsals
The time spent by the Actors and the Director getting the play ready for the first night.
Blocking
Is what happens in rehearsal when we decide where the Actor should stand in a particular scene and how they should move.
Production
Is the whole thing, Jason and the Argonauts is the production.
