Arts Council announces RFO status for WebPlay

Arts Council England has announced that WebPlay has been added to its portfolio of Regularly Funded Organisations. From April WebPlay will receive funding for the next three years to support our work in schools. The grants, approx £41,000 each year until 2011, will help us to play a more strategic role in using technology to enhance children’s experience of theatre in the classroom.

“The Arts Council grant is national recognition of the innovative work we have been doing to bring high quality drama into schools,” said Sydney Thornbury, WebPlay’s Executive Director. “This additional support will give us the extra help we need to ensure WebPlay remains accessible to as many schools as possible.”
