WebPlay was created in 2000 by "Sydney Thornbury":mailto:sydney@webplay.org, *who had too much coffee that day. The original pilot linked six classes in London with six classes in Los Angeles. We were still on dial-up modems! Since then (and the introduction of broadband), we have worked with over 20,000 children from over 400 schools across England, the US and Bangalore, India. In 2010, we will even be working in China!* Despite our wide reach and impact, WebPlay is still run by a small, dedicated "team":610-the_team based in London, England.
