City HallBryony here again! This time I'm on the streets of Birmingham to find out what makes this place so special. Birmingham is a very important city: It manufactures more goods than any other place in Europe. However, it is quite a young city by English standards. Its powerful roots lie in the events of the Industrial Revolution, which began in the 1700s. Although Birmingham's history may be short, it is full of interesting and exciting events and some important people have lived here over the years, such as George Cadbury (inventor of Cadbury's chocolate) and JRR Tolkein, the author who wrote Lord of the Rings.
